ahhh...dire words on SOTM...say it's the pillz talking! heh! For me SOTM was for special occasions like the 10/31/91- staight from the heart of Bill Graham, it was no more appropriate and enjoyed by me, then.
Of course the other occasion is when i'm cryin a tear in my beer, for love long lost-LOL (beats COL)
There were times when Jerry made an average song magic-in any case i'm going to check out 9/18/87
All imo-imo- ah nay!

Rastamon - your survived Jerry day!! excellent - hadnt seen you on here today at all and thought you may have been carried away to the clouds in puff of smoke - lol.
Sorry that i must disagree with you for once - SOTM just never ever did it for me at all. I just always have to hit "next track" on the cd console.
Hope you had a great day at the show my friend. If you don't have the 9/18/87 second set i will be more than happy to send it to you as well (couldn't tell from your post if you have it or not). Peace

Hey now, different strokes and all that. For example I've never been that fond of Row Jimmy, Easy Answers, Victim Or The Crime, Samba in the Rain, among others...more the sound than the lyric's though.

"Standing on the moon, where talk is cheap and vision true
Standing on the moon, but I would rather be with you
Somewhere in San Francisco on a back porch in July
Just looking up to heaven at this crescent in the sky
In the sky-in the sky"

To me >> the moon is a lonely and desolate place where one can see the termoil in the "promise land" in true vision.
>> About love lost where true sight and vision cannot equal the warmth of the intimacy of "but I'd rather be with you". First, on the moon looking, then the dream of looking at the sky with one's honey bunch-heh.
(for me, a redhead loooong ago-lol)So I metaphor
it to death...eh....oh well, I stand on the moon way too much i suspect-do i have issues or what?!
In a way, I wish I DID'NT like the song-lol
Btw, I don't have a good "uncaptured" looseless copy of 9/18/87, I would appreciate one-thank you!

Blashpemy!!! lol I love Row Jimmy - athough at times it can become amazingly boringly repetitive at the end - one of the "c'mon already" moments. The other three i could do without, even though Victim can have some seriously good gloomy jams at times.

Will be glad to send you the 9/18 second set (and first if i can find the damn disc). I'll assume that your return address is the one i should send it to?? Only thing I need is your zip code (naughty, naughty, it wasn't on your return address). :) Wont be able to get it out til wednesday or thursday as i must rely on others to go to post office for me (i'm ready to rip this f'in full cast off) lol

actually I enjoy the bleakness of Victim >> then the contrast of going into Crazy fingers. From a downer into an upper. But a stand alone Victim? nah.
The Jerryday was excellent!! the weather was warm and sunny most all day, I got there early when the dragonflies owned the grass, a very cool scene. I was impressed by Dejango Obscura, especially the Dear Prudence > Darkstar- Nice! Anyone else here, make it there?

I love Row Jimmy AND I love Victim. One of the last interesting songs they did imo. I was feeling guilty for mucking up this thread but then everyone else keeps doing it... : P

that "...on a back porch in July" line sparks no matter where my celestial body is located in the universe :)

celestial body? oh wow!

then this is fitting perhaps...

"A lovely view of heaven but I'd rather be with you
Be with you
I'd rather be with you....." Jerry, RIP
It's 4:20 gotta glow....
